Advancia Aeronautics, LLC wins share of $416 million contract

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, July 30, 2009 -- Advancia Aeronautics, LLC, a subsidiary of the Potawatomi Business Development Corporation, is one of eight companies awarded a five-year, $416 million contract to provide physicians to Military Treatment Facilities (MTF) operated by the US Army Medical Command (MEDCOM) and other Department of Defense agencies with similar staffing needs.

With this contract award Advancia Aeronautics can provide physicians throughout the continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and also in South Korea.  Some typical physician specialties include family practitioners, pediatricians, emergency room doctors, anesthesiologists, oncologists, and surgeons.  Military personnel and their dependents receive treatment at MTFs, which are typically located on Army installations.

Advancia Aeronautics will compete against the other contract holders for task orders.  The Government issues task orders containing information about required medical specialties, quantities, operating locations, hours, and other requirements.

"We targeted the healthcare marketplace two years ago.  This contract broadens our support to the warfighter beyond professional technical services," Renee Porter, President of Advancia Corporation, said.  “Based on the requests we’ve seen since contract award, we expect significant growth and to expand beyond our current 29 locations.”

Advancia Aeronautics is a sister company to Advancia Corporation, which has operated in the government marketplace for 27 years.  Two-year-old Advancia Aeronautics also is part of a team helping to modernize the nations’ airspace and air traffic control system for the Federal Aviation Administration.

“We are extremely excited about the opportunity Advancia Aeronautics has won with MEDCOM and the Department of Defense. We are truly proud of Renee Porter, President of Advancia Corporation, and the tireless work she and her team put in as they pursue these opportunities,” said Pepi Randolph, CEO, Potawatomi Business Development Corporation. “They are smart, experienced and aggressive – all are key elements to their success in the highly competitive Federal marketplace. Advancia has been a tremendous addition to the Potawatomi portfolio of companies and we look forward to providing the resources and support to help continue their growth.”
